Chris began taking hip hop at the age of 6 and then training in ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary, among others at the age of 9. Eliana is currently living, studying, and dancing at Rambert School in London, United Kingdom, where she is pursuing her BFA in Ballet and Contemporary Dance with a study in Choreography.īorn and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Chris McCartin is a professional dancer trained in a wide range of styles. Additionally, she creates and stages work, most notably a piece titled Stages which was chosen for consideration as part of the New Century Dance Project’s juried work. Eliana has performed works at the Joyce Theater in NYC as part of the Complexions 25th Anniversary Gala, as a part of the New Century Dance Project in Salt Lake City, UT, at the Morrison Center in the roles of Clara and Flowers in The New Nutcracker as part of Ballet Idaho, and via the web as part of Zeitgeist Dance Theater. Here, she danced under the guidance of Garrett Anderson and Peter Anastos, performing both ballet and contemporary works. During high school, Eliana moved to Boise, ID, and was Ballet Idaho’s first trainee. Additionally, she was a Complexions Contemporary Ballet Trainee under Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson. During this time she was mentored by Francisco Gella and was a founding trainee of Zeitgeist Dance Theater, a company founded by Gella and Yusha-Marie Sorzano. She trained in all styles, including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, contemporary and hip hop. ![]() and film projects such as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane the Virgin, General Hospital, and various commercials.Įliana Hayward was born in Detroit, MI, and was raised in Knoxville, TN, where she began to dance and create from a young age. Though dance is her first love, after God, she has enjoyed developing her other talents and skills to land roles in numerous t.v. She also has performed on various stages around Los Angeles, where she currently resides, such as The Pasadena Playhouse, The Gary Marshall Theater, and the historical Hollywood Bowl. Since the completion of her time at Ailey, she toured the world for over 10 years as one of the spokesmodels/dancers for the International Broadway tour of Chicago the Musical. She credits the gift of being able to seize that opportunity, to her Knoxville community after they showed up- local studios, former teachers, high school dance teams, and professional performers gave of their supplies, talents, time, and finances to ensure she had more than enough to be able to afford her elite training at the prestigious school. In her senior year at UT, she earned an invitation to train at the famous Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City. Post graduating from Bearden High School she, received her BFA from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Shamicka Jones was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee.
